Terms of Use
Effective and last updated: September 6, 2026
Please read the dispute-resolution section carefully. It includes individual binding arbitration and a waiver of class proceedings, subject to stated exceptions and your right to opt out.
1. Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of 144strong.com and related online features operated for 144 MEN, a ministry of Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship (“144 MEN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website or submitting information through it, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
2. Ministry information and no professional advice
The website provides general ministry, event, educational, and faith-based information. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, or professional counseling advice and does not create a professional, fiduciary, or confidential pastoral relationship. Contact appropriate professionals or emergency services when needed. Event details may change; verify time-sensitive information before traveling.
3. Eligibility and children
The website is intended for adults and general church audiences and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the website only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape excessively, or evade security controls;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- submit unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, infringing, deceptive, or privacy-invasive material;
- collect or publish another person’s personal, pastoral, prayer, health, or family information without authority and consent; or
- use ministry names, branding, content, or contact information for unauthorized commercial solicitation.
5. User-generated content and voluntary submissions
“User Content” means material you voluntarily send or submit, including comments, stories, testimonials, photographs, recordings, event materials, questions, and other content. You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content specifically for publication or ministry promotion, you grant 144 MEN and Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, edit for length or clarity, adapt, display, distribute, and use that content for the stated ministry purpose. This license lasts while the content is used and for reasonable archival and recordkeeping needs. You may request that future public use stop, although removal from prior print materials, backups, or third-party shares may not always be possible.
Messages sent only as contact requests, prayer requests, pastoral communications, or private correspondence are not licensed for public promotion merely because they were submitted. We will seek additional permission before intentionally publishing identifiable private material.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit, including consent from identifiable people shown or discussed. Do not submit confidential information or sensitive information about someone else without authorization. We may decline, edit, remove, or preserve User Content when reasonably necessary for ministry standards, safety, legal compliance, or recordkeeping.
6. Intellectual property
The website’s design, text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to 144 MEN, Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship, or their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable law. You may view and share links for personal, noncommercial ministry purposes. Other copying, modification, republication, sale, or commercial use requires prior written permission unless the law allows it.
To report a good-faith copyright or trademark concern, contact us using the information below and identify the work, the disputed material, its location, your contact information, and the basis for your claim.
7. Privacy, communications, and sensitive information
Our Privacy Notice explains how information is handled. The website and general email are not secure emergency, counseling, or crisis channels. Avoid sending highly sensitive information through public forms or ordinary email. Providing contact information does not by itself authorize marketing text messages; separate consent may be requested before recurring SMS communications.
8. Third-party services and links
The website may rely on or link to third-party services, including hosting, email, social-media, mapping, registration, or church websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party availability, content, security, or practices.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free content, complete accuracy, or that every feature or link will remain available. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 144 MEN, Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship, and their leaders, volunteers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the website. Any direct liability will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the website during the preceding 12 months or US $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Responsibility for unlawful submissions
You are responsible for your unlawful or rights-violating conduct and User Content. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify 144 MEN and Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship from third-party claims arising directly from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of another person’s rights, or content you submitted without required authority. This obligation does not apply to claims caused by our own misconduct.
12. Dispute resolution and individual arbitration
Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you and 144 MEN agree to send written notice describing the dispute and requested resolution and to attempt in good faith to resolve it for at least 30 days.
Binding individual arbitration. Except for eligible small-claims matters, requests for temporary or preliminary injunctive relief, and disputes concerning intellectual-property ownership or misuse, any dispute arising from these Terms or the website will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration may occur by telephone, video, documents, or in Rockland County, New York, as the rules and arbitrator permit. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
No class proceedings. Claims must be brought individually. Neither party may pursue or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action in arbitration, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
Fees and remedies. Filing and arbitration fees will be allocated under the applicable AAA rules. The arbitrator may award any individual remedy available in court and will issue a reasoned written decision.
Thirty-day opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration section by mailing written notice to the address below within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. Include your full name, contact information, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration for 144strong.com. Opting out does not affect the remaining Terms.
If this arbitration section is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts serving Rockland County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Governing law
New York law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or another mandatory law applies.
14. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect people, the ministry, the church, the website, or legal rights. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.
15. Changes, severability, and entire agreement
We may update these Terms as the website or law changes. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes may receive additional notice when appropriate. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised Terms. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder will continue to apply. These Terms and the Privacy Notice form the agreement governing this website, except where a separate written agreement applies.
16. Contact
Questions may be submitted through the Get Connected form on the homepage. Legal notices may be mailed to: 144 MEN, c/o Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship, 384 New Hempstead Rd, New City, NY 10956.
