Privacy Notice
Effective and last updated: September 6, 2026
This notice describes how 144 MEN, a ministry of Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship, handles information connected with 144strong.com. Please avoid sending highly sensitive pastoral, health, financial, or family information through ordinary email or public website forms.
1. Who we are
144 MEN is a Christian men’s ministry of Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship in New City, New York. In this notice, “144 MEN,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the ministry and, where appropriate, Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship acting through its leaders and service providers.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive:
- Contact information: name, email address, mobile number, and information included in your message.
- Ministry communications: questions, attendance interests, event responses, voluntary feedback, stories, testimonials, prayer-related communications, or other material you choose to send.
- Technical information: IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and security or server-log information collected by our hosting and network providers.
- Consent and preference information: communication choices, requests to unsubscribe, and acknowledgment of website terms when available.
3. How the current contact form works
The visible “Get Connected” form currently prepares a message in your device’s email application. Your information is not sent to 144 MEN until you choose to press Send in that email application. Your email provider and ours will process the message under their own privacy practices.
The website is hosted by Netlify and contains a form definition that may process a submission if JavaScript is unavailable, the form behavior falls back, or the feature is reconfigured. Netlify may therefore process form fields and related technical information as a service provider. Do not enter information you are unwilling to send by ordinary email.
4. How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to questions and connection requests;
- provide ministry updates, meeting reminders, breakfast dates, and event information;
- coordinate ministry participation, volunteers, and events;
- review voluntary submissions and obtain permission before public use where required;
- maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- comply with law, protect safety, and enforce our Terms of Use; and
- maintain appropriate ministry, consent, and communication records.
5. Communications and mobile information
Submitting an email address or mobile number allows us to respond to the request and send relevant ministry communications consistent with your request. It does not by itself authorize recurring marketing text messages or automated calls. If SMS service is introduced, we will obtain any consent required by law and provide opt-out instructions.
We do not sell mobile numbers or share mobile opt-in information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
6. When information may be shared
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- authorized Gracepoint and 144 MEN leaders, staff, or volunteers who need it for the ministry purpose;
- service providers supporting hosting, email, communications, security, storage, forms, or website operations;
- professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, protection of rights, or an emergency; and
- a successor organization if ministry operations or relevant assets are reorganized, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies, analytics, and external links
As of the effective date, 144strong.com does not intentionally use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics. Hosting and security providers may use essential technologies and logs to deliver and protect the website. If analytics, embedded media, or advertising technologies are added, this notice and any required consent controls should be updated.
Links to Gracepoint, email providers, social media, maps, registration tools, and other third parties are governed by those parties’ notices and practices.
8. Sensitive ministry information
Some communications may involve prayer, spiritual care, family matters, or other sensitive topics. Share only what is necessary. Website forms and ordinary email are not guaranteed confidential pastoral or counseling channels. We limit access where practicable, but we cannot promise confidentiality against legal obligations, safety needs, accidental disclosure, or provider access. If you need confidential pastoral care, contact Gracepoint through an appropriate direct channel.
9. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the ministry purpose, communication preferences, safety, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and appropriate church records. Retention periods vary by the type and sensitivity of the information. We may delete, de-identify, or archive information when it is no longer needed, subject to backups and legal requirements.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a small ministry website. No website, email system, or method of storage is completely secure. You use ordinary email and the website at your own risk and should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or limit use of personal information we control, or ask to stop nonessential ministry communications. We will respond consistent with applicable law, ministry records, safety needs, and identity-verification requirements. To unsubscribe from email, reply with “unsubscribe” or contact us below. SMS messages, if introduced, will include appropriate opt-out instructions.
Some information may remain in backups, legal records, prior publications, or records that we must retain. We may deny or limit a request where the law permits or requires it.
12. Children’s privacy
The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the website. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13. United States processing
The ministry operates in New York, and information may be processed and stored in the United States by us and our service providers. If you access the website from elsewhere, applicable laws may differ.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes may receive additional notice where appropriate.
